Croatia may not appear at the top of the list of culinary capitals but it is well worth a mention, not least of all because of its seafood, wines, and my favourite - the green pepper steak (try it if you can!). In fact many of the wine producers in one of the worlds wine capitals, New Zealand, have their family tree firmly rooted in Croatia.
