Zut                    

The island of Zut is the second largest in the Kornati, at just over 6 miles long.  On the North West coast you’ll find a busy ACI marina where there’s a restaurant serving great local cuisine and also a supermarket if you need to stock up on supplies – it does however tend to be expensive. If you want to keep away from the marina on the south east of the island there is an anchorage called Uvala Hilijaca.

Veli Iz

This Island has its own small marina which can hold 70 yachts.  There are several cafes and five restaurants on Veliz Iz.  Authentic Croatian culture is a big draw card with the ancient potters of Veliz Iz well known in the wider region, this is carried on today by local artists. A local peculiarity is that many centuries ago this small island had its own king, and this tradition has been reinstated with a festival taking place throughout July.

Soliscica

On the northern part of Dugi Otok (Long Island) you will find the bay Solisica. This bay is one of the oldest settlements on the island, named after the salt pans which have existed in the bay since ancient times. Around this area it’s low and sandy.

There are two anchorages, one off the village and another in a sheltered cove, Uvala Lucica which is west north west of the village.

Sali

Sali is in the southern part of Dugi Otok and has the biggest settlement on the island, with 1000 people living there.  It’s also closest to the National Park of Kornati.  Around the harbour you’ll see houses clustered around which date back as far as the 17th Century and earlier! Alongside these houses there’s a fish processing factory to the south which is a testament to main lively hood of the residents. Try the fantastically fresh fish dishes here, it’s a local delight!
