About me...

Alistair works as a yacht surveyor/engineer for Bareboat Sailing Holidays to assess the quality of the yachts used in our charter program.

Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand Alistair grew up on and around yachts and has a huge amount of sailing experience.

His impressive resume includes sailing both the Arctic and Antarctic waters, numerous Southern Ocean crossings, and unbelievably, sailing up the Amazon river while working as an engineer on the late Sir Peter Blake's 120 foot schooner Seamaster.

Most recently he skippered the legendary 'Lion New Zealand' in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.

Throw in Swedish Match Racing and working on several round the world race teams, he's well qualified to cast his eye over our partner's yachts.
