Hi Tim

I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had in Turkey (with the exception of mooring stern to – port walk  more like port sprint)! I would say it was an all round resounding success!! We had Heikell to guide us, fabulous weather, stunning scenery, turquoise waters  and a ridiculously large boat which we hardly slept in as we all fought to sleep on top of it – what more could we ask for!  Being an antisocial bunch we were especially delighted to find it possible to be the only yacht moored in many of the anchorages we found at least for part or all of the time we were there.

Thanks incidentally for tip re Pamukkale we didn’t go. But we did travel up the Western shores of Turkey and for anyone who may ask again we can highly recommend the Hellenic site of Priene, The Bafa Golu lake, the town of Candarli, the village of Behramkkale (ancient ruin of Assos perched on hilltop over Assos harbour).

Did I mention we had a really good time?
